Prospecting vs Selling. Some people teach one. Some people teach the other. Some even try and teach both. Who’s right? Who’s wrong? Where should you focus?
It’s all so confusing sometimes right? You only have a short amount of time a day, I’m assuming, to work your business. Very few people have 8+ hours a day to spend on their “side hustle”. So I’m here to help. Let me help you maximize the time you do have to hustle. Believe it or not, you don’t have to work full time hours to be successful in NWM. Coming from someone who did work full time, that seems a little odd right? Maybe it’s just me who thinks its contradicting, but I can explain….
See when I joined my business, I didn’t have resources like you do. How do I know you have resources? Because your reading my BLOG ha! I like to ramble just in case you didn’t know and sometimes I even get off track. But, I’ll stay focused… maybe. SO I joined my biz almost 6 years ago. TOTALLY LOST! Didn’t even know I was in NWM LOL! Then 4.5 years ago I joined another… it was in that company that I found resources. YOU GOTTA have resources. You don’t need an upline to tell you what to do…you need to use that sweet brain of yours and search for your own! SO back to full time/part time. There are so many things available to you to help you stay on track. To help you do income producing activities not time-wasting activities. Management mode will kill your biz…don’t do it! Don’t recreate the wheel. Plug your people into the system that your upline leadership has or find an outsourced system. Just whatever you do, don’t become the system! That takes all your time that you need to be selling or prospecting.
So back to which is better. As always, my perspective here… Very few people are amazing at selling and prospecting. It’s so rare! Usually we are good at one and learn to do another. Majority of people can sell better than they can prospect and guess what…you are in a business to sell a product or service….YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO SELL!!! So what’s better? Selling! Hands down! 150%!!!! Now don’t freak, I know you can’t build a team if you can’t prospect and your upline told you, you have to build a team to be successful. Your upline lied!!! Leading a team is difficult, its challenging, its time consuming (take it from someone who has over 325 thousand people in her organization)! It is not for everyone…that’s why you plug your people in and you keep selling…..
Volume runs off selling, the FTC wants you selling to consumer, and the big one….HOW can you ever lead a team to “sell” if you haven’t mastered it yourself! So it’s first, it’s most important … for now!
You need to master:
“The art of non-selling”
Law of attraction product marking
Creating Curiosity Social Media Content
The Mountain of Success Follow up Process
So let’s bring this in together. Listen to me closely. When you become strong at selling, you will then have a network of customers. When you have a network of customers who LOVE the same products/service that you do…you then have people to present the opportunity to in a non-pushy conversation. They already love what you have, it just makes sense to earn an income from “sharing” their “love” just as you do. Understood? The next part of mastering “selling” is that when you have brought others in to your business… you are now capable of duplicating your own sales talents into them. I can guarantee you will be much more successful teaching someone something that you know how to do rather than trying to tell them how to do something you haven’t even figured out yourself. That goes back to time…you will waste so much time. Now you have mastered selling, you have mastered offering the opportunity to those you sell to. Some have said yes, and you are mastering duplicating your own techniques into them. It all makes sense, right? You all have asked for this topic…. You ask for duplication. THIS is what its really about!
Don’t you love how I just flowed being a salesman into building a team and then duplication in the team? Crazy how this NWM biz stuff works!!
So my perspective again. I want to explain my reasoning to WHY prospecting isn’t’ most important. I’m sure you’ll say, but you can’t have a team or whatever blah blah. Do you know how many people I encountered who recruited 50, 100, 300 people and yet they still struggle? There is ZERO residual in just prospecting. Hey maybe you’ll get lucky and attract a few people in the biz, they will shoot off like rising stars and your biz will grow….but they will grow past you, you won’t be able to keep up, they will out rank you, your qualifications will drop and you will be back to square one because you never learned how to sell and therefore you never learned how to duplicate the ONE thing that keeps our business going (consumer purchases)!
As you grow in this business, people will become attracted to you. They will come to you and want to be a part of this culture you have created. You will also become better with words and conversations. This will help your prospecting abilities. You will become stronger in it but it all falls back into the basics. Don’t forget how to sell. Don’t forget you have a product/service that can help others. Your job is to be of service. When you truly grasp that concept the rest will fall together.
I’ll see you at the TOP!
Side note: Thank you for reading my first blog. I truly appreciate your time and will love to read your comments/remarks.
